Pricing informationNon-translation servicesTell us about yourself and the goals you want to achieve. You will receive a prompt, client-oriented proposal. Translation assignmentsPlease see our page on translation rates. Other itemsStandbyWe can offer standby service at a reduced rate. This allows you to ensure beforehand that we will be available for you at your chosen time, should you need us. If active work becomes necessary, we simply switch from standby to normal rates, on the fly. The standby service is subject to availability — please book early! After hoursWe may be able to perform urgent work also between 17:00 and 9:00 local time (15:00–7:00 UTC, or 14:00–6:00 UTC during DST), as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. A surcharge (typically 50–100%) will apply. ExpensesWhatever the pricing basis, we will charge you separately for any expenses (such as application fees) paid on your behalf. Value-added taxWe are usually required to withhold VAT, at 22%, if we deliver a service to a business client’s office in Finland, or to a consumer client whose domicile is within the EU. Authoring work may be exempt from VAT. If you are a business based within the EU, but outside Finland, please be sure to provide us with your VAT number, so that we can avoid withholding tax on your behalf. PaymentsYou may make both advance and invoice payments either to our bank account in Finland, or by credit card. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any other payment method. Overdue payments are discussed on a separate page. Credit cardsWe accept American Express, MasterCard (excluding Maestro) and Visa, including Electron. Please contact us for details on how to pay. Please do not send your credit card information by email or through the “contact us” form. Reservation for changesThe above information is indicative, and subject to change.
