The price of a translation service depends on the languages involved, and on the length and specialization of the text. Please also refer to our general pricing page, which contains important information on topics such as payment methods and VAT. The length of a translation is usually measured in source text words; they are easy to add up using the Word Count toolbar in Microsoft® Word. Pricing a translation according to its word count does require that the source material is available as normal text in one of the many file formats supported by our standard workflow. Otherwise — for example, if the source text is in another file format, represented as graphics, or copy-protected — we will instead offer to charge for our work by the hour. Typical translation-only ratesClients who are translation service providersThe following general examples also apply to translation tests, translation memory matches, and repetitions. However, these examples are not binding; please contact us for a case-specific quote!
Please expect to be quoted the normal rate. “−2” and “−1” prices may be applied, at our discretion, to translations that are very generic compared to those we specialize in. — Revision or review is not included in these prices, but can be arranged. End clientsIf you are not a translation service provider, you should also purchase revision, and optionally review. The above TSP per-word example rates can be used as a starting point. In order to gauge the additional cost that will apply to your translation, please refer to our editing page. |
